Ireland and Gospel

My wife and I have moved to the Mexican And  USA border but we still have a heart for Ireland and The pure Gospel to be preached in Ire.

thats where Pastor Trevor Jackson became a part of our family!

The Pastor got saved on one of the outreach trips to Ireland  and is now planting a church . Trevor  became My son's brother and spoke at Jacob"s memorial service .   I call him my Irish son  and here is  his first news letter .....

Greetings from Ireland,

First we just want to thank you for your time and for your prayers and support as we start this new work here. Most of you have heard already that the Lord has opened the door for a new work here and we just wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone and give some more details about how things are coming along.

Its been an interesting year and we can look back on it now and see how the Lord has been guiding our steps and preparing a way for this to all come together. We can now announce that on September the 1st we will be starting the first Sunday service of the Church plant in a town called Ballincollig.

Ballincollig is a growing town and has a population of over 20,000. Ballincollig (Irish: Baile an Chollaigh) is a satellite town in Metropolitan Cork about 8 km west of Cork city in County Cork, Ireland. There is a lot of history in the area and a castle that dates back to 1641 can be seen on the way into town.

We have known that there has been a real need for sound Biblical teaching in the area as there is in many parts of Ireland. Many people we have spoken to have never been told the true gospel message before, with roots in Catholicism it has been said that only 1 out of every 100 people you pass on the streets here are saved, so that's 99% of the population is lost.

Our prayer is to reach the lost in our home country. We are local believers who wish to spread the gospel and to take up the commission to go forth and make disciples. In order to to do this we have immediate needs such as the church meeting place which costs 1,100 USD per month and this needs to be paid on the 30th of August. Please pray that this need is met along with the other various financial needs that we have. 

In order to do the work of the ministry and to meet the financial needs of the church we are hoping to get 300 people involved. Our hope is to have 300 ministry partners who would come along side us as we reach out to the area and support the work by giving $20 per month. This would go a long way in sustaining the ministry here.
