Ireland and Gospel

My wife and I have moved to the Mexican And  USA border but we still have a heart for Ireland and The pure Gospel to be preached in Ire.

thats where Pastor Trevor Jackson became a part of our family!

The Pastor got saved on one of the outreach trips to Ireland  and is now planting a church . Trevor  became My son's brother and spoke at Jacob"s memorial service .   I call him my Irish son  and here is  his first news letter .....

Greetings from Ireland,

First we just want to thank you for your time and for your prayers and support as we start this new work here. Most of you have heard already that the Lord has opened the door for a new work here and we just wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone and give some more details about how things are coming along.

Its been an interesting year and we can look back on it now and see how the Lord has been guiding our steps and preparing a way for this to all come together. We can now announce that on September the 1st we will be starting the first Sunday service of the Church plant in a town called Ballincollig.

Ballincollig is a growing town and has a population of over 20,000. Ballincollig (Irish: Baile an Chollaigh) is a satellite town in Metropolitan Cork about 8 km west of Cork city in County Cork, Ireland. There is a lot of history in the area and a castle that dates back to 1641 can be seen on the way into town.

We have known that there has been a real need for sound Biblical teaching in the area as there is in many parts of Ireland. Many people we have spoken to have never been told the true gospel message before, with roots in Catholicism it has been said that only 1 out of every 100 people you pass on the streets here are saved, so that's 99% of the population is lost.

Our prayer is to reach the lost in our home country. We are local believers who wish to spread the gospel and to take up the commission to go forth and make disciples. In order to to do this we have immediate needs such as the church meeting place which costs 1,100 USD per month and this needs to be paid on the 30th of August. Please pray that this need is met along with the other various financial needs that we have. 

In order to do the work of the ministry and to meet the financial needs of the church we are hoping to get 300 people involved. Our hope is to have 300 ministry partners who would come along side us as we reach out to the area and support the work by giving $20 per month. This would go a long way in sustaining the ministry here.

Our true Identity Dan 1 Stand up -Stand out

Times may change but the goal of this world system is to make us believers in Christ Jesus be just like them so that we are ineffective And unfulfilled in our Christian life.

Ineffective : having no influence 

We just blend in

Unfulfilled: turn into Lots (Gen 18) Disturbed and lacking real peace

It was 605 bc and Daniel like many others was taken captive to Babylon 

To be re educated and trained.

Daniel refused to blend.

The World can take you captive , change your name, try to get you to worship the acceptable gods of pleasure ( the food represented their gods and a departure from the ways of the true God of Israel) change your name so you can be one of them,...Try to change your Idenity.

Daniel and his 3 mates refused the offer .

Today's preachers might say " come on boys lighten up" eat drink be merry and 

Blend so you can win them to Your God"

I some how think Daniel would not get along well with these types.

God made Daniel and the 3 lads stand up and stand out.

I feel the challenge , ...do you ?

Remember your true Idenity Christian:

For I have been crucified with Christ 

I no longer live. Christ lives in me 

And the live I live I live by faith in the son of God and gave Himself for me....

Trevor and Naomi Jackson and David and Mindy O'Riordan are Irish evangelists working under the covering of Calvary Tucson.

How and Why did REACH IRELAND come about?

Reach Ireland is an extension of Calvary Tucson Missions. which has lead over 20 teams to Ireland since 1999.
In the past 2-3 years we have noticed in Ireland a shift in styles of ministry and what exactly the "ministry should be all about."
Some of those changes may have some serious unintended consequences. Only the Lord knows and time will tell.

We wanted to fulfill our call to Ireland and the ministry work and that's how REACH Ireland came about.

Reach Ireland is a return to "the basics" and in essence the Calvary Distinctive.
Reach Ireland is outreach oriented. Take the Word to the people.
Reach Ireland is about seeing the Irish saved, discipled then trained and sent out. (Matt. 28, 2 Tim 2).
Reach Ireland desires to see Irish churches planted that teach and practically live the Word of God. No gimmicks, no seeker sensitive, no partying- just the love of Jesus lived out practically!

2. CCT is planning a church plant team for Killarney Ireland.

Pastor Jim and Lori Arnold started the first Calvary in Cork Ireland. They came back to the states and now feel called to plant a church in Killarney, Ireland in county Kerry.
Jim is currently a lay Pastor at Calvary Tucson. Jim was actively involved in discipling both Trevor and Dave of our REACH IRELAND TEAM.
